We gather every Sunday morning for two worship services:
9:00 AM – Contemporary Worship | A relaxed, modern service with live music, and relevant teaching, nursery available.
11:00 AM – Traditional Worship | A classic service with hymns, liturgy, and a meaningful message, nursery available.
No matter which service you choose, you’ll find a welcoming environment and a message centered on Jesus and hope for your everyday life.

Not at all. We won’t embarrass you, make you stand up, or ask you to say anything. You can come and check things out at your own pace.
That said—we love welcoming guests, and we’d be thrilled to meet you! If you stop by the New Here booth, we have a free gift just for you as a thank-you for coming. It’s our way of saying, “We’re glad you’re here.”

You can check out our messages before you visit; you can even subscribe to our podcast to receive weekly inspiration directly. Pastor Will designs his messages to help you find hope and experience a life renewed by Jesus.

Most people dress casually when they come to Kern. Many wear jeans, slacks, and golf shirts. Some wear shorts and some even will wear dresses or suits. Primarily, we want you to feel comfortable, so feel free to dress as you desire.

Sunday mornings are exciting times for our youth and children’s ministries. Please know that your kids are welcome in all of our worship spaces. Each morning we have Sunday School for youth (middle and high school) and kids at 10am. Throughout the morning, we also have a nursery available for babies and toddlers with Bible-oriented preschool activities.
Feel free to contact Chanda if you have any questions or would like more info about ministry with youth or children chandak@kernumc.org

Our church is part of a larger group of churches known as United Methodists. Worldwide there are nearly 13 million United Methodists who worship and serve in nearly every corner of the world. As United Methodists we share basic beliefs and mission with other United Methodists, and we believe it is important for each local community to discern how to best live out their faith in their local context.
You can learn more about what United Methodists believe at UMC.org. Pastor Will would love to discuss any questions about United Methodists; feel free to contact him at willc@kernumc.org
