July 22
Scripture: Ezekiel 36:26
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Prayer:
Lord, I open my heart to You. Remove the parts of stone and fill me with Your Spirit. Transform me from the inside out so that I can live fully in Your love and reflect Your grace. Break through any barriers in my heart that keep me from experiencing Your joy and hope. Amen.
July 23
Scripture: Hebrews 10:24-25
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
Prayer:
God, help me to see and model the importance of being part of the church community. I pray also for those that have been absent from worship, help them to see the importance of meeting together in your name. Use me to reach out to them and help them find their place of belonging. Use our gatherings to spur love and good deeds in me and in others. Let our church be a place of welcome, encouragement, and growth. Help us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our world. Amen.
July 24
Scripture: Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
Prayer:
Jesus, we gather in Your name and ask for Your presence among us. Use our Kern Church to bring hope and healing to our community; set people in our path so that we may bless them. Let us be a beacon of Your love and a place where people can find peace and belonging. Empower us to transform lives and bring Your light to those around us. Amen.
July 25
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body."
Prayer:
Lord, help me to understand and embrace my role within the body of Christ. Open my eyes to see the unique gifts and contributions of my fellow believers. Let our church community work together in harmony, each part fulfilling its purpose. Use us collectively to reflect Your love and bring transformation to the world. Amen.
July 26
Scripture: Matthew 5:14
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."
Prayer:
God, let my faith shine brightly in a world that needs Your light. Help me to grow deeper in my relationship with You and to encourage others in their faith journeys. May our church be a place where people encounter You and are transformed by Your love. Amen.
July 27
Scripture: Psalm 68:6
"God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land."
Prayer:
Father, I lift up those who feel lonely and isolated—there are so many in our community. Use me and our church to reach out to them and bring them into a loving community. Help us to be a family for those who need one, and let Your love flow through us to bring belonging and hope. Amen.
July 28
Scripture: Ephesians 3:10-11
"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Prayer:
God, thank You for the church, Your instrument of hope and transformation in the world. Empower us to fulfill Your purpose and to make Your wisdom known. Let our church be a place where lives are changed and Your glory is revealed. Use us to bring Your hope to a world in need. Amen.
