United Women in Faith

  • Kern Church 451 East Tennessee Avenue Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

How has God equipped us for mission and service? Join us on Monday, February 20 (third Monday) at 10:30 a.m. as we learn through experience, reflection, and scripture. Learning to listen to our own knowledge and wisdom is one way God speaks to us. In 1 Corinthians 15:44 (NRSV) God reminds us that our bodies are also part of our spirits: “It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.” Embodied spiritual practices help us to connect to the spiritual wisdom of our bodies. Communion is one such practice, as is receiving ashes on Ash Wednesday, which we will do on February 22.
